RJ-style connectors are not particularly vibration-safe either. There’s a reason you don’t see any RJ45 in your car: the contacts bounce off (and rub against) each other when there’s vibration, so sooner or later the thing fails.

None of the ip43 chargers support DVCC, including the 48/13. And its unlikely they ever will. The ve.direct connection on them is almost a tease, bare basics.
I will keep an eye on this. Other Victron connections happily use RJ45 in my RV install as do my network devices in the RV. Perhaps they will eventually fail. I wonder what the overall MTBF is for an RJ45 connection in mobile install really is, though. Guess it is time to google lol.
I’m also worried by this. I have often thought I’d hot-glue the connectors in place. The hot glue won’t stick to the device surface, but bulks up the connector so that it can be attached to a small bolt. Not exactly quality, but prevents some of the wire insert rocking that, I think, damages these things. Or I guess you could permanently glue the VE.direct cables in place, and then make your own connection of choice. I guess voids warranty,

we use a dab of electrical liquid rubber sealant on all critical connectors.
RJ 45 would be a far worse solution for VE direct cables.
I don’t know the relevance of you mentioning CAT 6 in your post ?
