VRM: Missing solar statistics and wrong MP2 state

Hello,

since a few months, I don’t see the “solar” option in VRM’s statistics anymore. There is just “Overview”, “Consumption” and “Grid”.
My PV inverter is indeed shown on the Cerbo itself and also live data is available in the upper part of VRM’s dashboard.

But I have to admit that I’m using a “dummy” inverter and fill the data using Node-Red. That worked perfectly for a year but now it doesn’t seem to produce those stats anymore.

I do however see a production graph in the advanced section.

Another issue is that the MP2 is shown as “Off” in the diagram, although it’s on (external control). That’s also correctly shown if I click on the settings button on the upper right.

Unfortunately with unsupported mods this will happen.
VRM and venus are constantly changing, what works today may not work tomorrow, and yours is not a scenario anyone will be testing for.

Yes, you’re right. Unfortunately, my personal setup “grow” to a point where it’s impossible to use only supported functions or hardware and therefore, I needed to encapsulate the solar production counter as well as the grid meter (which still works perfectly).

But maybe someone encounters the same issue as there are indeed many unsupported device integrations (MQTT- or HA-controlled) out there?

Okay, it seems that I was simply missing to supply the totals (/Ac/Energy/Forward, /AcX/Energy/Forward, …) because my inverter doesn’t supply these values.

Now I’m using a different source for the inverter’s total production and the solar-option in VRM is shown again.

But the MP2 is still shown as off:

Of course, that’s just a cosmetic issue.

you are possibly neglecting to supply the inverter state in the node red strings?

No, I’m supplying a correct (PV-)inverter state via Node-Red. But it looks like the displayed state of the Multiplus-II is somehow not updating anymore.

I change the Multiplus’ mode a few times a day using Modbus-TCP between On, Charger Only and Off which works perfectly but it’s not reflected in VRM.
