I also noticed that AC and DC are added together on the apple watch.
Besides that, in the VRM app itself, the DC loads tile is not visible at all. But strangely when I turn the MPII off, the DC tile re-appears again! In the old vrm app DC tile is still there.
I have noticed that in the last weeks with all beta’s, the DC tile disappears on some screens in favor of AC Loads and Critical Loads tiles. On GUI v1 it is not there. Now with new venus v3.50~22, it looks like it can be modified with the parameter Position of AC loads.
Currently only on GUI v2 this it is stable, where DC tile is visible and AC and Critical loads show in one tile.
I understand (D)ESS is an important usage for users, but I hope you do not forget the RV and boat owners that are interested in the DC loads. Note that possibly on a RV or boat, it could be handy to know what the critical load are, eg with water heater etc.
On Vrm there should be enough space for AC loads, Critical Loads and DC Loads.
I know all is still in Beta, just want to inform you about my findings.
We are doing the same for Google (Wear OS) watches.
more details here - VRM app for Google OS (Wear OS) watches
Hi @Lpopescu, thanks for having a chance to beta test.
Works well, and my only comment would be about the colors and text sizes.
I find it hard to read the little text and I think putting 4 values onto one screen may feel really busy on smaller watches.
Also since watchOS 10 color is more prominent and I can imagine a vertically scrolling list of installations with background color matching battery SOC and tapping into the details would show a vertically scrolling list with one page per metric… pretty much how the Activity watch app does it and how they show it in the “feeding birds” sample app… I think that design with colored backgrounds would make the app pop:
Just my .2 euro cents,

Question about EVCS. There is no button to change mode. Right now I’m at scheduled mode and there is button “Start EVCS” but this does nothing because in scheduled mode you cannot start charging manually
Many use in off grid settings so DC would certainly be useful
Scheduled mode should do the job by itself, so there is no need to add a button for it.
The start/stop functionality on the watch is for situations where auto-start is disabled when plugging the cable. We are not planing to add all the buttons on the watch. Just some very basic things.
As we are releasing the app on 3 platforms at once (Garmin, Apple, Android), we wanted to have a pretty similar look and behavior on all 3. So, for at least this initial version, we are going to keep it simple. But thanks for your feedback !
Hi @Lpopescu. Thanks very much for this very welcome development. The main app has been great for a long time, but its main limitation has been the hassle of accessing it quickly. Having to pull your phone out of your pocket, which is the main attraction of the watch - all you have to do is raise your wrist instead. It’s particularly important for VRM because I have to check the battery so many times a day being off the grid when the weather is variable. So although it’s great having this on the watch, I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to have the battery % charge available as a complication. Please, please, please could you consider adding that to the next release? I haven’t posted on these forums but I signed up especially for this request. Thank you for all your hard work.
I’m not sure what you mean, the battery soc is there, on the main screen of the app
It’s in the app, but I can’t see it available as a complication that you can add to the watch faces? Hopefully that’s not difficult to do dev-wise. It makes a huge difference to convenience/ usability. Thanks.
To clarify your description, you can see it in the app, but can’t add it to the normal watch face to see at a glance like my heartbeat here for example:
Exactly. Thanks @guystewart
Ok, clear. Not on the first version.
Agreed, this is a very useful development.
Another basic feature request is to have options to replace grid with battery power or something else that is useful on offgrid. Many thanks for these valuable new efforts!
What I ment was that that button should be disabled in the watch when in scheduled charging mode not to confuse user.
Nice app.
See the soc on the watch face would be a very welcome feature. It is called a complication I think.
Because it is complicated te implement I asume
Appreciate the work here. I’m happy to test.
+1 for SOC complication on watch face
Also, probably the wrong place to mention this, but I’m going to anyway since this is somewhat iOS related. Please add a full screen setting/option for remote console GUIv2 on 3.50. I know this may seem trivial, but it would look so much cleaner on an iDevice (or any device) if you could view RC full screen without seeing VRM in the background. Would be way more polished.
Great idea and thank you. I will be testing it.
Surprised I missed this , now downloaded
I think someone asked : will there be added complications features for the app , would be good to have some quick data just like fitness shows your three rings info at a glance , we can have it as circles as well
To mimick gui v2
