For some values (current and energy mostly) low values over long periods of time are more important then high value short term values. But the high values determine the scale.
Example: I am more interested in knowing how the 24-hour background level current fluctuates between 0.5 and 0.8 amps, then that 5 minute 20 amp spike. But due to the 20 amp spike, I am not even seeing the difference between 0.5 and 0.8 Amps
So it would be nice if I could long press a scale, and select log-scale instead of linear scale (and even better, have my last choice remembered)
Scale aside, I am not sure how long VC keeps detailed data. iirc the resolution lowers with time so the granularity you want, may not be there.
If you need detailed data, then the GX and using grafana can provide some sophisticated views of data in fine detail.
True. It keeps about a month and a half I believe, but as you say, with decreasing samples.
But really I do not need to look at last month. Mostly just the last day or two.
And that is pretty useable if I zoom in, just that the scale is dominated by those high current spikes. You can’t see the shape of the current floor due to the high ceiling.
