After update to the latest Venus beta software I see that i get an error when I use the vrm-api in node red, API type installations / attribute Dynamic ess. I get: Error fetching vrm data. With the beta 3.50-22 it was still working.
There is a solution for that?
Greetings Johan
Hi, Please start by reading the beta changelog, there are changes to this documented in there.
If this addresses your issue then great, else try the latest beta ~34 (reading the notes) and if it is unexpected then post in the beta section, following the guidelines at How to post in the Beta Testing categories - #3
After trying some more functions., it look likes only the attribute dynamic ess have the error.
This is with the last beta. The previous what I was running was 3.50-22, and there it was function normal. I don’t update always, zo i don’t know if the oder beta’s also had the problem.
In de update notes I can’t find some answers . I use this function to get the actual energy price in to my domotic system.
This has been fixed in the latest beta (running victron-vrm-api version 0.2.9)
Hi Dirk-Jan,
When I look in node red, it says 0.2.8 installed, and no updates.
When I search by install for vrm api, it shows me 0.2.9, but also written installed.
So I can’t update it, or do I something wrong? Is it possible update manually?
Greetings Johan.
No, I was a bit too quick. The node is part of Venus and 0.2.9 isn’t part of the latest released beta yet. Easiest option now is to wait for the next beta to be released officially. I expect that to happen tomorrow or the day after.
If you want to do it manually, you need to alter the /usr/lib/node_modules/victron-vrm-api/src/nodes/vrm-api.js file the same as:
And restart Node-RED afterwards. But I’d wait a bit longer until Venus 3.50~35 or later gets released.
Thanks for the answer. I will wait for the newer release .
