Victron smart battery analog alarm? low temp differentiation

so i know there are new NG batts, which are digital and specify to BMS exactly what the problem is

my understanding is the old smart batteries + smart bms are analog and have one generic alarm, is that right? or is there an alarm per problem just specifics are not shared?

so for example:

battery temps below 5c = do not charge

this will trigger alarm and tell BMS

my question: will this also prevent me discharging the batts? because if so then thats no good

discharging full batts will let them warm up and enable any subsequent charging thus being a self healing scenario without requiring my intervention

Allow to charge (ATC) and allow to discharge (ATD) are separate shutdowns.

If the BMS stops charging when the temperature falls below 5degC, the battery can still discharge, the limit for discharging is -20degC.

If the BMS stops discharging because the voltage is too low it still allows charging.

ok thanks that’s reasonable, soon I will put that to the test
