Victron Power-In and the location of the Battery Cutoff Switches

I am upgrading my RV electrical system by adding 3 x VATRER 300AH lithium batteries, a Victron Power In, and a Victron Smart Shunt (to replace my BMV 712) to my Victron Lynx Distributor and Carbon GX. Regarding the Victron Power In, if I connect the three batteries to the Power In, where do I connect the Battery Cutoff Switch? Should I put one Battery Cutoff Switch onto each battery?

that depends on the rating of your switches. You can put one on the output of the combiner, but it must be able to break the combined current. It has the advantage of one switch to cut off the complete system, There are arguments for being able to isolate individual batteries too. Sometimes the answer depends on local regulations rather than personal preference.

Thanks Mike. I have a single battery disconnect switch in my current in my 3 Lion Energy UT1300 setup. I am upgrading my system and adding a Power In where each battery wire attaches to their own terminals. I just got a response from Victron who said the safest solution was to add a battery cutoff switch as close as possible to each battery. Switches are now on order. I really appreciate your response and help!
