Victron Multiplus II Damage to input Relay After Lightning Storm

Hello all. It took a while but I finally found the problem causing VE.bus error report 11, step 7. It turns out that a power surge from lightning. The relay on the right is, I believe the input relay. It is cracked and oozing a black substance. Does anyone have any experience replacing or repairing this kind of problem?

It is not repairable and requires a power board replacement.

At least the power board can be replaced. I can check with the local Victron Rep. Thanks!

The gray component is a capacitor and, usually, can be purchased and replaced by an experienced repairman.

Not sure if that is the only issue with that board.

Thank you. And yes, there is likely more damage. The lighting shattered light bulbs. It looked like a relay to me. Thanks again.

The products are not self-repairable and when one component has let the magic smoke escape there are inevitably others that are damaged and that is not something you want in a power system.
We are in a high risk lightning area, for this reason I always drop the main breakers, having the relays open just isn’t sufficient.
We have had numerous close strikes and damage to systems in front of the multis but (touch-wood) have not had any issues thus far.
