Can I configure my Victron Multiplus II inverter to automatically switch from inverting mode to charging-only mode when the battery level drops to a certain threshold (for example, 50%), and then switch back to inverting mode when the battery reaches a higher level (say 95%)? Please note that my setup includes only solar and battery—there is no AC input source.
How should the MultiPlus switch to charge without an AC source?
Your only power source seems to be the MPPT.
What components do you have exactly?
There is sort of a way without knowing what you have. Use the voltages for around the thresholds you want.
It switches the inverter off though while it waits for solar to recharge the battery.
While there is an option on the same page i linked above, it can only be accurate if the battery has comms or there is a shunt and gx.
