We have a MultiPlus 3000 II with two 150 Ah ACE batteries. We had an overload because too many appliances were switched on, which caused the power to cut out. After a lot of hassle, we managed to get the batteries’ BMS working again. After some more troubleshooting, the Victron started supplying 230 V again, but it wouldn’t accept shore power. It was only when we started driving again that the batteries began charging, but when we reconnect to shore power, the batteries don’t charge. What could be causing this?
These are two different things.
The first is rejecting the supplied mains voltage, which can have several causes. But at the end, if the mains voltage is rejected, then the ACin relays wont switch through, so there will never be any charge or load being supplied by the grid directly.
The second is the mains voltage is accepted and switched through to the load, but the MP remains in passthrough mode. It wont charge the battery from mains or feed the loads from battery (PowerAssist).
Does the mains voltage get accepted and switched through? Do you have a GX in your system? Do the batteries communicate with the GX? Is DVCC set up?
