I bought a Victron Energy VE.Direct to USB interface.
I connected it to the cerbo and the usb to my laptop.
The comport was found and i opened it with the ‘putty’ program to see if anything is being received.
Not even 1 byte was received.
I have the baudrate and other setting from te manual but tried many other combinations.
The manual telles me the VE port sends all the settings every second, but i see no data.
Is there anything else i have to do to get this to work? Or is my convertor broken?
Thanks
Hee thanks for reacting.
I find many sites where they build their own rs232 to pc rs232 connection. I bought the cable to be sure.
Fot example here: Connection with Victron VE.Direct – Pekaway
But there are many other sites.
Did i miss somethjng?
Please advice.
P.
I am trying to get a dump of all the settings so i can decide with another program (that reads the data, no writing needed at this point), select the field it needs and does something, like switching something on or off or sending a telegram message to me.
But why a mppt but not the cerbo. When i look at the fileds it is supposed to be sending out there is all kinds of stuk i can use, like SOC or amount charging amps
A mppt does not even have this info, does it?
Ok, i have just gor mqtt to work (first time ui hear of it). I had to switch something on the the cerbo, but now it works. Do you know how to export this data on a regular basis? I can, and will search myself, but hey, if you allready know…
