Victron Connect showing low amps on Smart charge controller

I have a Blue Smart 150/70 connected to 120V 65A PV. I have the correct input and outputs to and from the Blue Smart, but Victron Connect is not showing the same amps and thus giving inaccurate Watts reading. I did all the upgrades and used a different phone but same issue. I powered it down and same results. I changed my PV input to half the voltage but same issue with amps. It is charging the battery with correct V and A per multimeter but not showing correct A and Watts in Victron Connect.

Any advice to correct or does it need to be returned? I failed to take pictures and am not near install site. Let me know.

Thank you,

If it is not reading it’s terminal voltage correctly, then the unit is faulty.
It is returned for a warranty assesment.

…I do hope the “65A PV” is a typo? Maximum input ISC of the 150/70 is 50A: https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-SmartSolar-charge-controller-MPPT-150-60-&-150-70-EN.pdf

Thank you Justin. This is the first time I have seen this. The MPPT calculator said “Accepted” when I ran my numbers on this job and recomended the 150/70. My low temp Amps say 51.8A in the calculator but I am running more like 60A into the controller on my multimeter. I have always given myself room on the V but did not know a 70A could not take over 50A. Why is it labeled as a 70A charge controller and the calculator recomending the 150/70?

70A is the maximum output current, not the input current. Victron charge controllers are “max input voltage / max output current”, so a 150/70 can accept maximum 150v input, and can output a maximum of 70A.

As to why the MPPT Calculator might have said your array was okay, I can’t say.
