I need a password for an installation in Albania with a weak grid and extreme AVR. In grindcode, it is currently set to Europe, but this does not work. I want to set it to a different one without mandatory LOM detection, but I do not have a password. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks, Marc. Unfortunately, my local installer, importer and dealer in Albania doesn’t have the answer. He only just managed to open the box containing the MultiPlus and otherwise has no knowledge of the subject. I’ve searched Google, of course, and apart from the useless zzz, I can’t find anything sensible other than “ask your local installer”. Thanks for your answer.
Go to the Victron website’s “where to buy” section and look for the Albanian or regional sales manager.
The training video in question may already have been deleted, as Victron only provides the password under controlled conditions (the link I know no longer works). This is because an important regulatory requirement for operating ESS systems, imposed by the utility, is that non-experts must not be able to change their systems themselves after the utility has approved them, for reasons of grid support.
If you find or are given the password in question somewhere, please do not pass it on or ever make it public.
“triple zulu” is merely the standard protection for the settings against accidental changes.
With extreme AVR, try a factor of 1.7 instead of the usual 2.
If the system remains stable on a weak grid after being adjusted step by step, keep it that way.
Otherwise, a local, experienced installer should take an additional look, or your installer should attend a training course. You can find the relevant dates on Victron Professional.
