Venus OS v3.79 adds support for the recently released Multi RS 48/6000/100-50 inverter/charger, the variant of the Multi RS Solar that is a pure inverter/charger, no built-in Solar inputs, covering:

  • Dynamic ESS
  • User-configurable settings for ESS mode, minimum state of charge limit, and AC-in current limit
  • Generator start/stop with warm-up and cool-down
  • Dedicated Node-RED flows for controlling this Multi RS model

Note that for this same Multi RS model, updating to the firmware v1.32 is required, which is important for any systems running Dynamic ESS.

How to install
For GX devices connected to the internet, see the Settings → Firmware online update menu. For GX devices not connected to the internet, the update can be installed using SD-card or USB stick.

FYI: It seems that the information (firmware changelog) on Victron Professional hasn’t been updated yet.

My system firmware updater indicates version 3.79 is available, but on victron professional the changelog only goes up to 3.76.

Anyone got info on 3.76+ versions?

I installed it on my small system without issues - and the Ekrano seems to be “snappier” eg quicker to change screens and respond to input.

with this update I noticed that the settings from Settings >> General >> Display & Appearance >> Start Page settings are ignored upon any error logged there.

For context, after a Grid Lost alert, I will login to the Notifications, Silence the alarm. After the grid connection is established, the start page remains the active as the Notifications page where all the past alarms were shown but resolved.

I am having a display connected via HDMI to Cerbo-GX and is annoying not seeing my default set page (Brief, in my case) when the timeout os reached.

Restarting the Cerbo-GX also disables the timeout settings and asks also to select “again” between the new ui vs classic.

Happens only when you have any new notifications, and then after to resolve/see them the timeout default view page is ignored.

Version 3.79, MK1 Cerbo GX
