GX Touch 70 on an extension does not work with 3.70 update.
My display is in another room and I am using a 25 Ft 22 AWG USB 3 extension and 25 Ft Monoprice 4K Certified Premium High Speed HDMI Cable - 4K60Hz, 18Gbps, HDR.
OS 3.70 is working properly in Remote Console (RC).
System has been up without issue for 2 years and works properly when I revert to 3.67.
On 3.7 I can disconnect/reconnect HDMI, reboot Cerbo GX MkII, disconnect/reconnect USB, all actions result in backlit dark screen.
Change display to Dark Mode cycle USB connection and reboot from RC with no joy.
Revert to Classic UI in RC and reboot, GX Touch displays light grey that darkens and then switches light again, repeatedly. Note that Classic UI does not display in RC.
Best you rollback while the broader kinks are addressed.
I am having a similar problem with an HDMI monitor connected to the Cerbo GX (first version, not mk2) via HDMI. It worked perfectly for years and in 3.70 the display freezes. After Cerbo restart, the hdmi monitor works for a few seconds and then it freezes again.
The hdmi cable is a quality one, and the monitor was placed behind the wall in another room.
I reverted to 3.67 and it works perfect again. This seems to be a problem only with 3.70
Thank you!
We will look in to this. But I don’t have a logical explanation for this at the moment.
Hi @RobP,
Can you check whether eliminating some load on the Cerbo resolves the issue? Disconnect some devices, stop node-red/signalk (if installed and running) and set the backlight to the lowest option possible.
Furthermore, if you’re ok with it, we’d like login to your system remotely to have a look at some logs. Can you make sure your system is online and has remote support enabled?
