Has anyone vented Victron NG batteries to outside? Noticed there’s a small reference to it on the SuperPack NG manual and it looks like the same fitting has been added to the later NG batteries. Is there a fitting available from Victron with o-ring, hose tail etc?
There’s a small group of boaters trying to influence UK Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) rules and trying to bring in a requirement to install lithium batteries outside the living area and venting outside. When retrofitting to traditional UK Narrowboats this is pretty much impossible (similar to a Yacht/Catamaran). Thinking this venting system would possibly be acceptable depending on how extreme the requirements would be. Has anyone got any thoughts on these recommendations who’s working on boats? Thanks, Ed
