hi all it ha been a while since I have been hear.

Anyway Here is my issue. I have the above mention easy solar it is 7 years old now and I have had no issue until recently. I also have a 8500W Generator that I use to charge the BYD Battery box pro 13.8KWH but recently when I am charging the battery with the generator the inverter cuts our and the incoming AC charge Drops to zero but after a few seconds it cuts back in again. I dropped the incoming AMps to 41as this was 50 amps originally.so the inverter light goes out and the mains on and bulk light come on when it is charging it alternates between them.
I just hope this will not damage the inverter as it has never done this before and no settings have been changed.
Ant help in understanding this or how to alleviate the issue would be very much appreciated. If more info is needed please let me know and i will up load a photo or update the post Thank you.

So sorry to hear that.

I don’t think anything has been damaged on the inverter and even though nothing has been deliberately changed, time and other factors change things.

For a generator of this power if it is in good condition will only be able to supply 29A.

But is will probably be more stable supplying 23A on the input current limit to the inverter.

I have drop the generator current limit to 23A but has not made a dsifferance this is in the multi

Do you hear relays clicking like it is rejecting the generator?

Yes that is when charging stop for as short while then starts again

I am currently at 51% Battery and tomorrow is a sunny day This should get me through I will look into any other suggestion when I can. Thank you so much for taking the time to help I have always found this community to be very helpful thanks a gain

Quick fix.

Switching to charger only on the inverter might help for now.
Alternatively going lower on the input current limit until the connection stability is sorted. Or starting low and then working it up.

Is the generator also part of the original install or is it a later addition?

I have tied charging only didnt work I will try going lower and working up it does chargew at 3500w atm And yes the genny is as old as the system.
