VE.Direct to USB interface Best practice please

My batteries are 40 ft from any possible CPU connection. If the Smart ip65 shunt is at the chassis batteries.
What would be my best way of connecting to my Pi 5.

VE.Direct cable maximum length is 10m (32 feet), so from there, you may need a powered USB hub (eg StarTech industrial hub) or powered USB extender.
