Ve Can to N2K cable wiring

When interfacing a Cerbo to an N2K network using the Victron veCan-nmea2000 cable I am trying to determine if this is considered a drop off the N2K bus hence no terminator is to be used in the open port, or is this still treated like a can bus so a terminator is needed in the open Cerbo port?

In a similar vein, if the veCaN -N2K cable is connected to the Cerbo, can other CAN devices be connected via the open port? If so, how is termination handled?

Yes it is a drop, and not part of the backbone.

The only thing to note is about removing the fuse in the ve.can-n2k cable. Read the manuals on this. In my case the fuse is removed as my n2k network is larger and is powered elsewhere.

No you cannot connect other devices to the secondary port as its just a drop, and so no termination is required.
