Running Octo GX with latest beta and Shelly switch 1 gen 4 v2.0.0 and Virtual Component status is “BLE Scanning Active” and won’t show “BLE Bridge Operation” as per video example.
Tried with a second Shelly switch and same issue. When installed on a third switch then “BLE Bridge Operational” established and could see “BLE Bridge” in device settings.
After much deleting and reconfiguration I discovered that if the Shelly has Assigned Bluetooth Devices then the device status would persist as “scanning” but when I deleted ALL assigned bluetooth devices, as I originally had 3 and deleted one by one and tested each time, then I could establish the device status as “bridge operational”.
Not sure if this a limit of the Shelly or an unknown bug and requires further investigation.
The problem has been found. When the script is removed and a new version of the script is added, it should work even when the Shelly is already configured as BLE bridge.
When loading the library on the same location, it will now only show 1 script. This is correct as this scripts woks for both types of devices. The method of configuration (Virtual Components vs KVS) is still the same.
