As title I have found that installing V3.60~57 onto a Cerbo GX whilst the 230VMultiPlus 12/3000/120-16 was off caused the inverter to start up. When it was shut down using remote console via VRM it restarted. I tried to turn it off twice to no avail. I reverted to V3.60~49 as the back up firmware on the Cerbo and normal behaviour has returned, turn the inverter off from VRM remote console and it stays off.
I had exactly the same issue, rebooted the cerbo to previous software version and it cured the problem.
Hello,
I have a Multiplus 3000/12/120 system installed in my RV, cerbo gx,… Until yesterday everything worked smoothly. But today the following happened to me: Multiplus was turned off and turned on by itself at night. When I noticed this, I turned it off again via the vrm portal. After about a minute it turns on by itself again. I repeat the exercise 5 times, always the same…
Does anyone know what could be the reason for this unwanted phenomenon?
Thanks for your opinions in advance
Tom
Are you using beta firmware V3.60~57.
See
Additionally if you are on beta firmware do you have auto update on, are you aware you are using unproven test firmware, auto updates is not ideal.
Hi I am not a firmware expert so did not realise that the update was beta firmware and not tested.
I do not have automatic updates switched on. I was just checking for updates through the VRM.
Do you suggest not doing beta firmware updates? If so how can you tell?
I wouldn’t have bothered if I had know, as it caused a lot of head scratching until I saw your post!!
Cheers.
On the GX device go to settings - General - Firmware - On line updates - Update feed and swap that to “official release”
Victron have investigated this and done some debugging on my system to understand the issue so I am sure the solution will be incorporated into the next release.
Hi,
Cerbo is now running firmware v3.55.
I have set it to only update official release firmware.
Thanks for the help, every days a school day.
I have a simple node red flow that controls my Multiplus II 230v.
Since 3.60~57 the Multiplus sets itself to ON - I have disabled the node red flow and rebooted, but still after a few minutes the Multi turns back on.
Going back to 3.55 all starts to work again.
I will try and do some diagnostics later…
It’s happening to me too. I turn off the inverter and the next minute it turns back on.
Hi both,
thanks for your report! solved per v3.60~58 - in beta in the coming minutes.
Many thanks…
