Ekrano tank inputs show ‘open circuit’ for a KUS 0-180Ω resistive sender.
Initially, V3.54 showed this issue of ‘Open Circuit’ for the sender so I tried the beta 3.60~25 which has a patch for this, but still the sender input is not reporting. I tried both GUI-V1 / V2
I have tested all 3 tanks inputs, they always report an open circuit of 471Ω whether the sender is connected or not.
Connecting the same sender in to my Cerbo on V3.22 GUI-V1 and it works, I can see it is currently 65.3Ω when the tank is 40% full and have checked the resistance with a multimeter.
*EDIT: I have just tested manually moving the sender float up and down the 950mm rod, I can see the resistance; ‘Sensor Value’ changing on the tank setup page, but interestingly what should be 0Ω for an empty tank is 16Ω, and in the bottom 100mm the rod the Ω rises quickly to 360+ Ω until the 471Ω ‘open circuit’ is reached, when it should use all 950mm of the rod until getting to 180Ω at the top. So I guess the Ekrano inputs are converting the signal with too high a resistance?
I’ve tested changing the settings to US, EU and custom with widest range possible but it looks like the input logic see’s too high of a resistance, or the input connectors create too high a resistance value?
*Edit also tested Beta V3.60~39 - Tank input still not working
*Disclosure - I have installed GUI Mods + dBus-seriallBattery on the Ekrano with V3.54 before testing the Beta - They are also installed on the Cerbo that does work. - So realise it could still be GUI Mods related, but I see it was an issue before so thought I’d check to see if it’s an Ekrano / OS problem for others too?
