Great job, release 3.53 is great!
Let’s move on.
There is a proposal for release 3.60 and a solution to ignore AC IN without affecting ESS.
I think it is worth adding a schedule function to control the inverter mode (On / Inverter only / Charger only).

For example:

I use ESS with Scheduled charge levels
Start at 23:00 target SOC 100% duration 8 hours

After this schedule is executed, it was logical for the following schedule to start:

Scheduled device mode (by time or by target SOC)

Start 07:00 mode Inverter only, duration 16 hours, then return to ON mode

Or

Start 07:00 mode Inverter only, return to ON mode if SOC is less than —%

I think this will solve many inconveniences with using ESS & Ignore AC IN.
At present I do it manually.

You can achieve this by using Node-Red. You can build your own charge/discharge strategy.

I don’t want to use Node-Red!
I want to stay within the basic image.
