V3.50~25: naming relays

It is nice, that relays are now available to quickly turn on and off:

Can we get the custom naming for the relays in the configuration?

I use one relay to enable two Orion DC-DC chargers for trickle charging starter and bowthruster battery from LFP and the other for controlling the Alternator charging.
I can name them in SignalK venus plugin, but not in Cerbo:

@nickdb why was this moved from Beta to DIY?

Moved it to Beta and tagged feature request.

Generally trying to avoid the beta category becoming a repository of feature requests. It is meant for finding issues with existing betas and ideally missing feature parity, in the case of gui v2 vs v1.
This is a broad request that has also been asked previously.

Hey both, absolutely naming is coming. And more still.

But it will take a while; all focus is first on releasing gui-v2

Fully support this request, and either relay should be available for all the features currently only relay 1 supports.
Love the new gui, great improvement.

you just need to tell the cerbo the other relay is also on manual control, then all options are available.

@mpvader I’m sure everyone will agree with this… Can we please get custom labels for the Relays on the GX devices? Labels that show in the Venus OS GUI-v2 and VRM?

These are really helpful when you have them assigned to things like a light and a siren, so you don;t accidentally set off the wrong one.

And also for inputs. The fixed choice is just not right. I have a “remote-off” (for firemen) switch tied to a digital input, but had to name it “fire-alarm” instead, which is not correct, and when I add a smoke detector later, it will be confusing.

I have just checked, after updating to todays release, Relay 1 offers several options, but relay 2 only offers a choice of manual or temperature still.
I get round this limitation using Node Red but it would be great to be able to trigger relay 2 from a set of actions, like a digital input changing state, or in my case the level of a liquid sensor to stop my watermaker when the tank is getting full.
