Using Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger

In a old Fiat Ducato I am installing a
30A Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger Isolated
It will charge when engine running using D+ controlling the Orion. The flow of current will be from the led acid start battery over to the LiFePo4 leisure battery.

Every now and then I need to «fill up» the starter battery. Solar is working with the 100% SoC leisure battery. Why not transfer some solar over to the start battery?

Then I also have a 18A Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger Isolated that I would like to install in reverse direction. This charger would be manually controlled to prevent any mishaps. The flow of current would be from leisure towards the start battery.

My questions;
Idea seems good, but is it possible to use them Orions in such way?

Yes this is possible without issues. Just make sure both units don’t turn on at the same time. It might be a good idea to disable the manual switch with a relay that energizes when the starter → measure batter DC-DC charger is turned on.
