So I was interested in looking at node red I setup the MQTT setting (User/Installer & No Security set Level) & installed Large rebooted & loaded node red from VRM Reset Node Red Toggled on & off several Times
I have only blue & orange inputs I seem to be Missing Dark Green nodes etc apparently ?
Updated to 3.75 Which itself created an Issue With no backup software version Created it was suggested here in node red there are Issues with Networks in 3.75 so down grade to 3.5 ?
What am I doing wrong? as its not impressing me much at this stage
The “blue and orange nodes” are actually at the very bottom of the node list. You can usually scroll upwards from there. What do you mean by dark green? The only one I know is the Debug node, which is quite a bit further up. The other nodes should be above the blue ones. If you can see those, Node-RED has normally loaded correctly and is working as well. Do you perhaps have a NO-JS script running in your browser? Node-RED works smoothly and without any problems under 3.75.
You should have a default set of generic nodes that is bundled with nodered, but anything else must be manually loaded.
Victron have some getting started videos on youtube for nodered, might be a good place to start.
Don’t downgrade because someone has suggested there is a network issue. officially there are no known problems and it is not possible over the internet to understand why a small group believe there is an issue or what the variables are.
3.75 is stable, if you don’t have a specific issue, rather leave it.
When the next 3.7x version is released you will have a backup to the current version.
