Unable to set up new Parallel/Split Phase MultiPlus II system (Comp ID Issue)

Hello All,

I have a newly installed system and I am stuck with the following message:

The dealer I bought this from knew I was setting up a Split Phase/Parallel system using the 6 inverters and chose to send me a single Comp ID ‘B’ unit and the rest as ‘C’. They said they will try to make it right but don’t have any stock of ‘C’ units at the moment. I am hoping someone at Victron can lend a hand here to help get this resolved. For now, I am using 4 of the inverters as they are all matching and it is working perfectly (albeit limited). Is there no way to use the ‘B’ version in my system? Of course all the boxes were tossed once I confirmed the units powered up. Mentioning Guy Stewart @guystewart as this was discussed in a previous post. Hoping you can help. Long time Victron user (Built my first RV Quattro system in 2018 and it’s still running great!) First time attempting a Parallel system.

Thanks!

Hi @Jetwire442

The only way forward is with the same compatibility ID.

Victron will support your dealer to get suitable compatible units to you at no cost, as long as all are within warranty.

They will need to contact Victron service dept through their normal channels for more information.

Apologies for any extra delay this will cause you; it’s a disruptive process now, but it should improve as time goes on.

Thank you for the quick response. I haven’t heard back from the dealer in about the last 7 days or so. Can I send you a PM? I would rather not name the dealer here just yet. I was hoping you could lean on them to try and get this resolved.

Thanks

Hi @Jetwire442,

DM’ing me would be the last resort, if you really get stuck at a dead end and can’t contact your dealer through the normal channels.

The next step would be to open a support ticket via the form here -https://victronenergy.com/support

If that route also fails, next try contacting the regional sales manager for your area - Contact - Victron Energy - they also want to know which of their dealers are giving good service and not if the first two normal steps above aren’t working.
