Ultra-fast MPPT

According to the datasheet, 150/70 up to 250/100 MPPT controllers are supposed to provide “Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)”. What does “ultra-fast“ mean in terms of real time? Should the maximum response time be under one second? 100 msec maybe?

Thanks.

I had to look this up myself, but I have an idea:
By the term “Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking,” Victron means an exceptionally fast and advanced algorithm that continuously searches for the optimal operating point of your solar panels, so that as much energy as possible is extracted from the panels, especially when light conditions change.
In other words, if the sunlight intensity on the panels changes, the MPPT will react faster and search for a new maximum yield more quickly.

Thanks Theo,

That’s more or less what I understood, but I was hopping to get a better idea about the actual response time.
