Time Off by 10 Hours - Date OK

I see a ton of posts about timekeeping bugs and the Cerbo. Is it still broken?

I have the correct date & time in VRM but cannot get anything correct in the Cerbo. Cerbo has the correct date but the time appears to be exactly 10 hours ahead of the actual time.

The time settings on the Cerbo are just set to use UTC, but even if I choose the correct time zone the time is always 10 hours ahead.

After setting utc you set your time zone?
What time zone is set?

I have utc off and a SAST set and have the correct date and time for where i am.
I also have location set on the vrm to get the weather as well.

Summary

UTC is turned off, time zone is PST. Firmware is now latest beta, on the display screen it shows correct time, in the settings it shows that today is tomorrow, and, has a completely different time!

Judging from all the posts about time issues, my guess is that Victron has lots of bugs with respect to the clock. Have you checked to see if the date is correct on yours and if it’s correct in the settings too?

There seems to be some specific ones with specific time zones. And some to do with daylight savings. Not lots of bugs per say. Forum bias being what it is.
If this in on beta kit though i will move it to beta as that is entirely different to normal release.

Yeah, it didn’t work properly on the official release either. It looks like it’s very poorly implemented as I can’t set the day/date either. It seems all you can do is pick your time zone or choose UTC and that’s it. It would be better if you could just set an NTP server for it to use. The bizarre thing is the time is now displayed correctly on the guiV2 dashboard but off by hours in the settings….it’s bad code, that’s for sure

Or bad source for the time settings as they synchronize to servers.
