Victron don’t support or encourage their platform being used for other inverters. VRM is a costly platform to run and maintain and it is funded by product sales. Trying to leverage this investment for a competitors product is a bit cheeky.
It is designed to work with a victron inverter at the core and supported/complimentary devices as per the manual for VRM.
There are integrations that allow many complimentary devices to work in VRM such as PV inverters, EV chargers etc.
As a victron community we can’t encourage the use in systems that have no Victron investment beyond a GX.
Sorry, I was not referring to a competitor device. I was investigating the possibility of my BMS (my custom developed device) integrated with the Cerbo using an appropriate device interface protocol. This is a custom installation question.
Ah ok. There are a lot of topics on this subject. Yes it can be done. There are some existing mods as well (serial battery) and you have the virtual devices which can be used.
