I have a Victron Multiplus 12v/3000VA/120v inverter/charger at my hunting cabin. When we closed up in January it worked fine. Last weekend, I hooked up my battery and turned the switch to ON and the Inverter works for 3 seconds and then the Temperature light comes on and it shuts down the inverter but leaves the fan running. I am thinking my thermocouple is bad. Can I by-pass it or replace it?
Did you check for mouse/spiders/bugs?
Carefully open the cover and check nothing has been disconnected or damaged.
Yes and I used an air compressor to blow out any dust. Other options/thoughts?
Everything looked to be in perfect condition.
All comms cables between all the boards seated correctly?
Di the issue haplen before or after being blown out?
I checked all the comms connections and they were seated tight. The problem occurred before I blew it out.
You might just have a faulty unit, impossible to diagnose from here and trying to disable a sensor would not be a good idea, not something we could suggest or even know where to start.
Best to get it sent in for bench testing.
Thank you Nick. Where do I send it and what is the process?
The easiest is to log a ticket on the support system using your serial number, it should route it to the responsible distributor.
Hi did you solve the problem? I have the same issue at my multiplus.
Best regards Carolus
