so just setting up a new 3 phase system with ESS, so far testing non-dynamic, when there is a big difference in phase power usage there is feed in (i dont want any feed in), this can be minimized with a higher grid setpoint 150-200W, but when someone turns on vacuum cleaner or water boiler well things get out of control
only when i enabled individual phase balancing then its really nice, but manual warns about excess losses converting ac/dc
i cant send back to grid especially since i dont get paid to do it, so whats worse? individual phase regulation or using the more efficient 3phase regulation but sending back 500-1000W to grid seems crazy for free
It depends if your power consumption is metered per phase individually or globally over the total consumption.
Only in a few countries it is metered per phase, most do global metering.
The latter means that only the grand total of your consumption is taken into account.
In your first image that would mean 277W.
So even though you’re injecting 252W and 243W on phases L1 and L2, you’re consuming 772W on L3 so globally speaking you are consuming 277W and are not injecting anything.
If you are metered per phase and still don’t want to inject anything, you’re stuck with the individual phase balancing method, at the cost of some extra conversion losses.
