Hello,
I have two Smart IP43 24/25 Chargers I will synchronize for 50A charging. I will be using them in combination with a RoboPads charging contacts for charging two 12V 460Ah LiFeP04 batteries. The RoboPads charging contacts uses an internal circuitry that is able to send a signal to report their states (i.e, charging/not-charging for signal pulled low/high, respectively). I want to connect this signal wire to the IP43 Smart Charger(s)’ remote on/off terminals to initiate charging only when the appropriate voltage is applied from the charging contacts signal wire.
However, the IP43 Smart Charger manual states that it more-or-less randomly assigns master/slave chargers when doing synchronous charging, and you can’t do anything about that. If I want to use the Remote On/Off features AND Synchronized charging, which one do I connect the signal wire to? Can/Should I connect to both of them?
Thanks!
