Super-b epsilon/redarc Integration with victron cerbo gx

Hey everyone. I just wanted to share some work I’ve been doing, and have finally been able to publish to my github.

I’ve successfully integrated a super-b epsilon can network into the victron Cerbo gx with minimal gadgetry. Ive published the work on my github and would like to welcome you to have a look and hopefully you’re able to use the code on your systems.

I’m using a really old stable epsilon firmware 1.2.5 with a few superb can cables and one self made cable to connect to the cerbo. From what I can tell most any firmware should work with this module, it might need tweaking, but should work flawlessly on any older firmwares.

I’m running 2-3 nodes on the network and after a few days haven’t had any major issues yet.

If your batteries have been bricked by super-b firmware you should downgrade to that old firmware and you’ll be just fine. Super-b added a function in their newer firmware that changed the Degraded flag from something like 10v to 12.3 in the newer firmware. You can still downgrade by using older android apps from apkpure. The firmware is inside the old versions, just do the “update” and it will downgrade you to the package inside the app.

Enjoy. And thanks for the help
