# Starter Battery Always 0% in GX console screen

Starter Battery Always 0% in GX remote console screen or Android GX but works fine in the shunt and VRM dashboard.

Is this a bug or a setting I’m missing?

It is something you are missing, the only thing the starter battery monitor in the SmartShunt measures is voltage, it does not measure the starter battery SOC. You are then trying to show the SOC in the 0-100% gauge, which is not going to work because it has no SOC value.

Maybe that option should be removed from the display UI options then or additional code added to just duplicate the value available in that option.
