Something strange with the visual part of the forum now...

As per title and below printscreen…
Strange things start to gather, after yesterday issue with the topics.
Maybe the curses have caught up and now we are haunted…

Not sure what exactly you are referring to?

Take a look at the profile picture… The “circle” is not displaying the top part.

Mine seems to be displaying fine.

Did you tried different web explorers?
I’ve tried an old chrome and there is OK, but on an up to date chrome and firefox it isn’t…

I only use Safari and Firefox, both behaving.

Strange that up until today it worked on my system too.
And I’ve checked and no web explorer updates have been performed. Neither OS.
So, I believe, that somehow the thing is at the source.

Works fine on Chrome

It works fine for me on FF and Edge on Win 10 and Chrome on Android.

On android seems to work for me too…
It seems that I am the haunted one. :worried:

Maybe flush the cache if you haven’t already.

The FF is set to flush the cache at each exit.
But performed one nevertheless…
The same.

Did this change after the fixes yesterday? It shouldn’t be related.

Nope…

Something has changed and for sure not on my part…
Why do I know that? Because I am keeping my ClearType font setting on my WinOS disabled and since this morning it seems that the forum font has being changed somehow. It’s more “rugged”.
In the same time, the proper display of the profile picture is back. Now it is displayed correctly !
Is the forum engine being kept on discourse servers and they have access to it directly?
If yes, then they can perform modifications and this is affecting all clients, including Victron, without you even know…

Nope, changes are notified and structural changes are made through a separate site.
Guy changed the font a couple of hours ago. Some fiddling is happening to the look and feel.

So they are the ones making the modifications at the engine level…
Although small aspects of it can be modified by you, also.
Thanks.

There are going to be changes that we make to hopefully improve the look and feel, with larger changes planned that won’t be tested in production. The core site is hosted but no admin changes are made without Guy knowing about it.

I was still fiddling with lots of things, as I am using the site more and trying to get the feel right.

We still have a big UX/UI update to come as well.

As of today the old community site will be read only, so I will start to get a bit more restrained with random changes.

I know I am pushing, but maybe Guy @guystewart could take a look at this suggestion, also.
Especially the horizontal and vertical conversation part…
Thank you ! :innocent:
