Solar yield on main screen incorrect

Running V3.80~4 with Node-Red.

I have three MPPT controllers and an A/C coupled SolarEdge inverter that is a Virtual PV Inverter, using data from my Home Assistant system that reads the SolarEdge device reliably ever 2 seconds and transmits the data via MQTT. This is physically connected to AC in.

This is the first time I have had all my solar on-line due to roofing work requiring the removal of most of it.

What I am seeing is a discrepancy between the values shown on the Overview and the individual value when I click through.

I cannot see what I have done wrong, can anyone help?

See the screenshot.

Revert to a production version and confirm if it is a beta specific issue.

I have reverted back to the latest production release, V3.71~2, and again there is a difference between the total of the individual solar sources and that displayed on the front screen. See the attached screenshot taken at exactly the same time.

I have only recently installed the new MPPT controllers, switching some of my PV panels from a old SolarEdge system that failed (yes I have removed the optimisers)., and adding some vertical one to the south facing end wall.

I use Home Assistant and the Victron MQTT integration to read data from the Victron ecosphere, I combine the three MQTT devices data and the SolarEdge data together and this gives a correct value for solar power, updated every couple of seconds.

Due to frequent drop-out of the Victron Sunspec integration I have reverted to use the Home Assistant ‘SolarEdge Modbus Multi’ integration to read the inverter every 2 seconds, something I have used for many years with no issues, this pushes the data to the Venus OS using a Virtual PV-Inverter device in Node-Red. The values in the Victron system match the values transmitted by Home Assistant within a second.

So, what ever the problem is, it exists in the Production release.

I m a happy for a Victron support engineer to have a look at the system, it is connected to the VRM.

This is the current beta version.
3.70 is the recently released prod version which has a few regressions from 3.67. 3.71 is intended to address those when released.

I have tried both releases.

The three MPPT chargers add up to roughly the same as the panel on the Overview screen, the difference may well be timing, I took a snapshot and it was 321+750+273 = 1344, while the summary showed 1314.

But the power being input by the SolarEdge AC coupled inverter on the AC Input is not being included in the ‘Solar Yield’ box , despite it being clearly shown on the detailed page when you click through.

The SolarEdge power is clearly being used by the system as it directing the power to the Multiplus to charge the battery, not drawing anything from the grid, I have a separate grid meter connected, but it is ignored on the Overview.

Hi,

The Solar Yield is the sum of MPPT Powers on the BusVoltage-DC side, while the individual values are the power on the PV-DC side.

Thus, the difference between them is conversion losses and self-consumption of each MPPT.

So, there is generally a difference to be expected - but on you last screenshot it is quite huge. Not sure if there is something else happening. Would probably run ac/dcpv mutualy exclusive and then compare, where the big difference comes from.
