Hi, our battery was installed a week ago but our PV is not showing in the app. Also it seems solar is going to grid whilst the battery is in desperate need of some power… we are in green mode. Anyone know how to fix this?

DESS requires your PV to be visible to the system for the majority of Operations.
If you don’t have a compatible inverter that can be added to the system (or use a dedicated meter to measure production) you should switch to regular ESS, which then will only use the grid setpoint to determine power it could charge to the battery.
Without DESS knowing about your actual Solar-production, it will not be able to generate a schedule that makes any sence.
Also your consumption figures and therefore reports and estimates will be wrong, as every solar that goes directly into a consumer is “invisible” to the system.
Depending on your solar inverter type, there are eventually user developed scripts available for VenusOS to make the inverter visible.
