Solar panels on caravan

Good day just a couple of silly question.

  1. Does Victron sells micro inverters.

  2. Hi have 2X 120AH batteries in caravan but only 150Watt solar panel.

Updated my solar panels on the house so I have spare 250 Watt panels available still producing 98% of rated wattage.

And her comes the final Question

Is it possible to connect two panels to a micro inverter and plug directly into caravan 240v inlet?

Sorry, no proven way to do this I know of. Victron definitely doesn’t make micro inverters like you are suggesting.

If you are asking also if you can connect the 150W and 250W together then the answer is likely “no”. I am guessing they are not the same voltage and therefore not compatible. The good news is you can definitely use two separate SmartSolar MPPT controllers and synchronize the charging on the same battery bank. Let me know if you have other questions.

Thank you TherealKT,

Sorry forgot to mention that I will remove the old solar panel, I am aware of not mixing different solar panels.

With the two panels connected, with MPPT Controller Could I by pass the BM PRO system on the caravan and connect directly to the battery bank

I am not very familiar with the BM Pro. Generally speaking though I don’t recommend there being anything between the Solar panels and batteries but the MPPT and proper circuit protection. Ideally the solar charging system should be on its own with the exception of the negative side of the MPPT going to a shunt if installed.
