Smartsolar MPPT 75/15 Auto On/Off

Hello,

I have 2 x Smartsolar MPPT 75/15 running in parallel with 2 x 200W solar panels for each, feeding 4 x 165Ah 12V Gel Batteries.
I wire the solar panels only during specific sailing periods usually in summer, and I put them inside the boat the rest of the year.
Right now, both MPPTs are always connected to the batteries and always ON, even when the solar panels are not attached.

Is there a simple solution to automatically turn OFF the MPPTs when the solar panels are not wired ? And auto turn ON when wired ?
In order to reduce the batteries darining for long winter periods without charging possibilities.
I saw the VE.Direct non inverting remote on/off cable but can we use it with the yellow cable directly wired to the PV+ terminal of the MPPTs ?

Thanks for your advice and help !
Best regards,
Mathieu

Max input voltage for the VE.direct adapter is 70V, so that could work. But i doubt it will be any help. The remote on/off only controls the charge cycle, the MPPT will not physically turn off. The remote does essentially the same as disconnecting the panels, the internal controls and bluetooth will remain on.

Since you are physically removing the panels for winter, you could also pull the fuse for the MPPTs, then they are truly off.

Oh sad to hear we cannot use the remote on/off function to physically turn off the MPPT.
I guess another solution would be to use a circuit breaker between batteries and MPPTs, but I was looking for an automatic option rather than manual.
