I’m about to instal my smart shunt into my van attached to my leisure battery, question is, can I attached the smart shunt 3 meters away from the battery? Or does it need to be near the battery?
The mainfunction is measuring the current which is not impacted by the distance. The secondary function is measuring battery voltage, which will be a bit lower than actual. Use an oversized cable between battery and shunt to minimise this error.
