SmartBMS initial configuration

Hi everyone

We just got our new camper with a Victron setup. I am not sure if the guy who did it actually set it all up correctly. My setup consists of:

Smart BMS CL 12-100
Lithium Battery Smart 12.4V 200Ah
SmartShunt 500A
BatteryProtect BP 100

So quite basic. But I think it is all set on default values. The only thing that is set is the fuse type in the Smart BMS to 80A (so it should charge with up to 60A).

Is there anything else I have to set? Like alarm thresholds etc.?

Also is it normal, that the system doesn’t know anything yet according the state of charge etc.?

My battery shows on “Last full charge” and “Cell status” for both Unknown. Is that normal?

I would advise reading manuals for all equipment.

Available battery information is dependant on - can the battery bms communicate with victron system / is it set up to communicate / maybe it can only be viewed on its own bluetooth?

For full integration a gx device is required.
