Skylla-i charge current limit

The Skylla-i supports VE-CAN but not DVCC. I seems to only allow writing two parameters via the CAN bus: charger status (on/off/bulk/abs/float/storage) and input current limit. The input current limit is designed to allow you to reduce the max current draw so as not to trip breakers on docks with high voltage drops from underside and extra long conductors. Presumably, if one reduces the input current limit, the output current is also limited. Since the Skylla-i doesn’t support DVCC, perhaps I can use the can but to dynamically set the input current limit and after system losses, that would translate to a suitable charge current limit on the output side? That’s my question. Can I use Node Red to receive the charge current limit from my BLM over CAN and then dynamically set the Input Current Limit on the Skylla-i to get the control I want???

@bobcat thanks for being one of our earlier adopters of the new forum, as this is a nodered topic, I have moved it to modifications, where it belongs. Only this section and Betas is currently live on Discourse.

For anyone following this, I was able to verify that indeed you can control the DC output of a Skylla-i by reducing the AC Input Current Limit.
