Shelly 3EM not recognized as device

Hello,
yesterday I got my new Multiplus 2 GX 48/3000, and of course I immediately connected it to my DIY battery (LiFePO4 16s 280 Ah with JK inverter BMS). I updated the MP2 firmware to v3.41 large image. But I was not successfull configuring my Shelly 3EM as energy meter.
I used SSH and installed the script from Fabian Lauer (GitHub - fabian-lauer/dbus-shelly-3em-smartmeter: Integrate Shelly 3EM smart meter into Victron Energies Venus OS). No error messages! But unfortunately the Shelly does not show up as a new device in the remote console.

Now I read that there have been similar issues with an older Multiplus firmware (v 3.0?). Does anybody else have the same problem with the current firmware version 3.41?

3.41 is GX firmware. The multi has its own, 552 is latest.
Not all devs have kept up with the changes in venus os. It is also quite unsupported.

Moving this topic to modifications. Plenty members there using these meters who can hopefully help.

My MP2 has firmware 502, this update has been installed today. How can I get a newer firmware?

Finally the Shelly was recognized, but I really don’t know how this was achieved.

Indeed after about 20 times installing, uninstalling and reinstalling the script from Fabian and the ESS, and after many reboots of the Shelly and the GX I finally gave up, and started to change values arbitrarily (almost ), and again had no sucess. For the last night I switched off the Multiplus, and when I started it again this morning, the Shelly EM3 showed up in the remote console.

And now it looks like everything is working really fine. Really very fine, indeed.

You can update over the vrm under devices (be aware it wipes settings)or locally using an mk3 and victron connect (also wipes settings.)
