i am setting up a light and fan for my backyard solar shed. it is not tied to the house at all. I installed one earth ground rod at one corner of the shed so far (for the solar mount chassis). The Victron manuals show the negative bus bar tied to ground when using an inverter. However, i am not using an inverter and will just be using DC. would i still want to ground the negative bus bar? i would be installing a second earth rod into the opposite corner of the shed. the second earth rod would connect to the negative bus bar (which connects the panel the electronics are mounted to and to the chassis ground of the MPPT). currently the electronics are mounted to an aluminum honeycomb panel. my plan was to ground the panel to the negative bus bar. i can switch the panel to a non conductive material if that would make more sense.
