To be fair, that appears to be a genuine Bussmann Series 285 breaker, not one of the cheap chinese clones of them that are all over Amazon, so (if my zooming in is correct) that’s at least one good thing. Definitely agree with the sentiment overall though, a reputable and experienced DC systems installer should definitely be consulted to bring everything up to standards.

That ‘cheap rubbish’ breaker has been doing yeoman service since the unit was manufactured. I guess, if I could, I’d call the manufacturer and tell the head electrician he did it wrong.
On second thought, I don’t think I will post up pics of the cleaned up installation…or the 1" liquid tight conduit or any of the other clean up work.
I will however give a big thank to RL and everyone (else) that helped with the design and gave me crucial advice along the way - it’s appreciated!
