I have a well established off grid system working for over 2 years without issue.
I have a multiplus 2 10000kva
2x smart solar RS MPPT 450/100
Lynx In
cerbo gx
Fogstar 15.5kwh battery - can bus connection
Ja solar 445w solar panels
My MPPTs have the set up as follows
Charger 1 - 2 strings of 9 panels
Charger 2 - 1 string of 8 panels
Charger 1 is stuck in the error code 29 -overcharge protection. I have tried everything, tried disconnection, rebooting, swapping pv cables. Nothing is working.
My assumption so far is some sort of mismatch between the charger and the battery and the error is stuck there.
Any help would be appreciated
(Recently added the victron EV charging station and that’s been working well. Photo shows that there was plenty sun today and the charger 1 was giving no output and even when battery drained a bit the fault didn’t reset)
Reduce the string number to 8 panels on each string on charger 1
Make sure it is programmed exactly the same as the other mppt. And it is for a lithium profile. And it is reading its terminal voltage correctly nad all are torqued ok (app and multi meter confirm)
Yes tried restarting device with it unplugged from cerbo - error remains. The fault doesn’t show on startup but the symptom of it alternating between bulk and float and not providing charge output remains
