Ive been so impressed with this System, but since the latest few versions I have 2 issues I cant seem to solve:
it takes forever to connect, even if it has downloaded any updates 10 minutes ago, when it times out, it has to reconnect (and I’m not in a good signal area) and download files again, have I missed a setting to speed this up?
No matter what setting I use (Dark / Light / Auto) its always light
The GUI is cached, so reconnecting shouldn’t trigger a download every time—only when the GX firmware has been updated. We’ll investigate this.
A new dark/light mode setting was recently added to the GX firmware, so there are now two related settings. Please check that both are configured correctly. That should resolve the issue.
Also, make sure you’re running the latest Android app version, v1.01.
By the way, I do think this is absolutly fantastic!
Thanks, Screen issue resolved.
How do I check the andriod app version?
When I press and hold in bottom corner to get andriod menu and check for updates it says its upto date, but is that the Andriod part?
I just started the tablet (its been off for a few days) and after about 10 minutes I was at the display screen. It would download something, then stay “loading Application…” for a minute, then cycle back to downloading, loading, I filmed it for 5 minutes then just left it, cam back after a few more minutes and it had finished.
My tablet has an old battery, so I get the screen to time out after 10 minutes, so when I come back and press to wake the screen, I will see the display “as it last was for a second” and then it will do the reconnection; download with progress bar (takes 10 seconds as I have a better wifi signal), stays on loading application (for 1 minute), then connects ( Connecting, Connected, receivng broker messages, screnn changes to black (hehe!) and app loads), so even my warm start is taking around a minute and a half.
Its the download (from the cerbo each time, but still seconds that dont need to be wasted) thats not helping, but the main 1 minute pause at the “loading application”
