Hi all just wondering if there is a simple way of rectifying I have a ve battery shunt ( trusted more than Easun) whilst my inverter is an easun. All works well however with lithium batteries concerned with over charging etc. the voltage readings are different between each.
I have looked at all possible easun stuff to try and manually change to the Victron shunt reading including contacting directly (still waiting for reply 18 months on) please see pic, any advice welcomed
Yep. You use a decent quality multi meter and verify who is correct. 0.2v difference is sort of ‘acceptable’ usually that is within margin of accuracy.
But that is 0.5v its huge and can be the difference between discharging incorrectly and over charging. Either there is rwading inaccuracies or you have massive voltage drop because of cabling. Definitely worth more investigation
Het thanks for response, Yes have done that and it is the Victron that is correct, and as and over the months have been trying to find away to manually sinc the easun, but there seems to be nothing out there, as u suggest 0.5 is a worry and have tried to set battery parameters to comply, however not best
If you have adjusted the voltages to be incorrect numberivally but correct for operation then there is not much you can do.
They either have a firmware problem or a physical problem bith of which are beyond your control.
Ar the end of the day it doesn’t matter what the easun reports/ says, what matters is the battery is being charged correctly (since this is the heart of the system) and your inverter is providing power makongnuse of the solar.
