Im not allowed to use ESS due to the DNO saying my inverter is too big, so ive decided to repain off grid.
However i do have an Enphase microinverter PV array which is tied to a feed in tariff (fit) and i have wired a transfer swith to that array so it either feeds through the ac1 out on my multiplus ii to charge the batteries, and when the batteries reach 95%soc, the transfer swith switches the pv array over to the grid to feed in and keep my production meter running.
Electrically this setup is working perfectly ( first day trial) but ive noticed that the 3kw array only peaks at 1.6kw while connected to the off grid side to run the house and charge the batteries, but as soon as it transfers to the grid , i get the full 3kw production, you can see this on the attached screen shot, the last peak was just after it transfered to the grid, and the single dark line was yesterday’s fully grid connected production, both days seem to be tje same sunny.
So its clearly being throttled down when feeding the off grid side of my system, is there a setting that determines the pv power /charge settings?
Frequency shifting is used when offgrid.
